Ms. Porter has more than 20 years of Human Resources experience, having held various positions in Human Resources in higher education, healthcare, manufacturing and retail. She has been noted as an effective leader and manager with broad based knowledge in planning and implementing HR strategies that successfully align with business goals. Gersha has also spent several years as an independent consultant.
As a founding member of the Black Human Resources Network (BHRN), Baltimore Chapter in 1993. Gersha served in a number of positions including VP Membership, and VP of Plans and Programs. In 1998, BHRN became one of the founding chapters of NAAAHR. Gersha has since been a member and strong supporter of NAAAHR .
Gersha received her Master’s in Human Resources Development from Towson University, Towson, MD and her Bachelor’s in Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She is also trained as a Coach and Mediator
